Today is , and this is the Everybody Uh Oh website, which was last updated on December 13th, 2005.

....:::........:::....
CURRENTLY:
baby&hide is birthed. Everybody Uh Oh is apparently dead in the water, on indefinite hiatus, broken up, has-beens, or whatever you want to call it. Not that it was ever intended to be a long-term musical project. And there is nothing negative about it, just transition, progression, growth. It was the college band, you know? They did good things, made a solid record, played some shows, drove out to both coasts, had good times. But now that has come to an end... sort of.

The collaboration between Chris and Jeremy alluded to in the last post (which was in like 2003 or something, and it is now less than 20 days until 2006) is ongoing, although it is more of a Jeremy solo-project than an actual band, which is not to say that there is no band, because there is. But it is, like, a touring band, not so much a studio band. Which is not to say that the band doesn't work on material in a collaborative manner, because they do. But it is mostly Jeremy, and it is called
baby&hide.

So, yeah, unless a massive amount of free time appears on our doorstep, this will be the last update for this website. For all other things related to EUO, b
&h, or any of the TEAM AV artists, check out www.team-av.com.

MOST RECENTLY: Jeremy and Chris are playing together as a duo under the Everybody Uh Oh flag. New songs have been recorded and gears are turning. Hopefully, that means things will start happening sooner rather than later. We are on top of it. Allen Iverson is representing the United States. If you'd like to hear some new tunes, email us.

NOT SO RECENTLY: hi. we're not playing shows as a band right now. this will probably last for a little while. we needed to tear it down and make it again, make it a little larger. we're going to document a handful of the guitar band songs we all have together in our friend ben's basement, and brian deck and i are going to start on some new songs in february. in the morning, i'm driving out to oberlin, ohio to make up some songs with matt mehlan for like five days, recording where we mixed our album. i think this should all work out. its just sort of what needs to be done right now. its ok. i'm playing some shows by myself, solo reverby delay-y electric guitar, i like it. i'm pretty tired. thanks for reading this -- jeremy

ANCIENT HISTORY: Duders, our van got stolen. What gives?

Honey, we're home. Tour was a rousing success. We were Everyday Uh Oh in Boston and Everything Uh Oh in Lansing. The van had zero problems, and we had no proverbial hassle from the proverbial fuzz, until when we were driving home, and got pulled over for having bunk registration. It was all good though, Officer Burton was a doll. Best random band we played with? Reading, of Athens, with The Stay Lows of Buffalo not far behind. We all got hella sick, but it's all good. We actually came out ahead money-wise which was nice. Kudos to Harnack for making it all happen.

hello dudes, we are on day 3 of tizour. we played a pretty awesome show last night in carbondale with the plus and the emily shrine, good times. and then, i was walking outside, and i caught 3 white-baseball-hat types trying to break into our van? isn't that messed up? so if you see a little white car driving around somewhere, and its illinois plates
CHEW E 34, smash their windows. we're going to scenic Hazard Kentucky now. have a pleasant morning

One day, we'll say we're going to update more, and we'll actually do it. Things have been pretty chill around here lately. Chris is in his Polish motherland. Jeff is finishing up his BA in Champaign while laying tile and getting sick a bunch. We're just about done with the four songs at Engine, and they sound sweet, complete with patented Brian Deck percussion insanity. We'll be touring the southeast and east coast in August, so we'll let you know when we've got all the dates and whatnot. For now, check out our friend matt's new label www.shinkoyo.com. Good stuff.

and now for a few orders of business:

A. Everyone email our good friend Troy Michael at Innocent Words Records, who was just in a bad car accident a few days ago, seperating his shoulder and totalling his little red sports car. He's doing well though, send your best wishes (or porn) to innocentwords10@aol.com

B. We are playing Monday March 31st at the Abbey Pub with one of our collective favorite bands, Crooked Fingers. Headlining will be Spoon, another great band. There are only a handful of tickets left for this show, so go to the abbey box office, ticketweb.com, or call 866.468.3401. should be an amazing show

C. We want to say thanks to our friend Karin over at Tower Records on Clark in Chicago. Not only did she pass our album onto a certain bald Chicago music icon whose new band starts with a Z (of all letters!), but she put our CD into the employee listening station, where it proceeded to sell more copies than any cd ever has from those listening stations. Huzzah! So Karin, this Bud's (or these buds) for you.

D. A couple days after the show, we head into a real studio for the first time, to record some songs with Brian Deck (Modest Mouse, Red Red Meat, Califone, etc...) at Engine Studios in Wicker Park (the 34th neatest people in Chicago music according to NewCity). We're recording songs for a demo that will be pimped to some cool ass labels by our new manager Sean Duffy (the 41st neatest person in Chicago music according to NewCity). Things are getting saucy! We'll probably be recording three new songs, which currently go by the hella creative names of "new song," "tour song," and "neil song," plus a dusty or two. Maybe Death version 5.0, we'll see.

E. We had an interesting time on the road last weekend. OK, so after we got our asses rejected by South by Southwest, we were supposed to get some sweet dates in New York for that time. So we decided to make a little week jaunt out of it. Then the New York dates fell through too, so we just kept what was supposed to be the first two dates of the tour. We headed up to Muskegon MI to play, we got there, and the promoters are like, you're not on the bill, despite our just talking to the dudes the day before. It ended up just being a misunderstanding, so they gave us some money and we moved on. We went to stay at Allison's dad's crib in Ann Arbor and, despite our mapquest directions including a journey down Stadium Drive, we did not get to see "the big house," Michigan Stadium, which dissappointed us further. A cool thing about being in a band is seeing sports stadiums, we've been able to see where the Colorado Rockies, Nebraska Cornhuskers, San Fransisco 49ers, and where a bunch of other teams play, but no Muck Fichigan. oh well. So then we went onto the second show in Akron OH (we stayed near where the Cleveland Indians play). We played with an absolutely amazing bluegrass meets Irish punk with resonator guitars band on Arena Rock Records called The Boggs. Do check them out. Unfortunately, we basically played to each other. So then we drove home early in the morning, so Neil and Kelly could go to Las Vegas and lose all their money and hopefully drunkenly get married.

F. Allison has pointed out that there has been no mention on our site about our drummer since November, Jeff Phillippe. So here's a little about our new guy: Despite not having any relation to Ryan Phillippe, Jeff is still damn sexy. He enjoys hot funk like Parlament, and brings our percentage of philosophy majors up to 40%. The Spinal Tap jokes end........NOW

Hi, we're going to try to keep this a little more updated, since that's what websites are for. Chris got in an accident with the van on Christmas Eve on I-57, we thought it was going to be ok, but I guess the repairs will be too much. So we have no van. On the bright side, while it was sitting at "the shop," the spare tire on the back somehow exploded, shattering the van's back window, and sending projectiles through windows at the place. No joke. No one had ever heard of this ever happening, ever.

We're starting work on recording an EP for Innocent Words Records this week, tentatively titled The Dizzy Train in Your Ears. It's our return to recording with a five dollar computer mic, so it should be a lot of fun. We're also playing some friends' release shows in the next month, with the Red Hot Valentines on January 31st, and Absinthe Blind on February 21st. We're also headlining at the Abbey Pub on January 30th, so we need everyone's support for that show. More details can be found in the Dates section. Raiders to win, Bucs to cover.

You can find a few unreleased tracks out on compilations right now: "Velveteen" is on the new Innocent Words compilation and "City Pride 2" is on the sampler disc out with the current issue of Copper Press. You can also read a great review of Man Am I Brad in issue #51 of the Big Takeover and there will be an article in an upcoming issue of Copper Press. Man Am I Brad has also made several Best of 2002 lists from places like OpeningBands.com and Music Emissions in Canada. Hoorah. Thank you. Have a good day.

Our song "Serious Mode" has been getting a couple spins on 107.1 The Planet, and we need your help in keeping it going. you can email requests to onair@wpgu.com, or call 'em up at 217-244-1071. our friends the Red Hot Valentines and Absinthe Blind have proven that, if people are loud enough, local music does have a fighting chance on commercial radio. so please, don't feel silly, if you wanna' hear us on the radio, or if you at least think we're more worth listening to than Staind, let em know. we appreciate your assistance in world (or central illinois) domination.

The album is OUT! OUT! OUT and available for order at the Arborvitae Store. It was released on September 9th. There has been talk of actually updating this nice website which someone else designed for us and which we haven't paid for yet, but it's just talk at this point.  Oh yeah, if you want to help us make some money and also buy some cool stuff on the cheap, check out this stuff.

Everybody Uh Oh finally has a goddamn website.  Welcome to it.  You're probably already spending too much time on the internet so, in your best interests, we have kept the content of this website to a minimum.  For now it will get you where you need to go, which is off your ass and down to your local basketball court.

As you may have heard from the buzz around your town, our town and every town, we will indeed be releasing an album this year.  As a matter of fact, the album was recorded by Matt Mehlan earlier this year in Schaumburg and then mastered by Matt at TIMARA in Oberlin, Ohio.  With his vice-like hold on us, Matt also mixed and mastered the album, also in Oberlin, and damn if he didn't play on the thing too.  We tried to paint our own artwork but that didn't really work out so Eric J. Herboth put together an artwork package to go with the cover photo which was taken by Sameer Bawa.  The album even has a name, Man Am I Brad, and it will be officially released to the public on September 9th as AV021.  We are excited to have Arborvitae Records releasing our debut, and they are happy to be releasing it (even though they don't know that they're merely a stepping stone to Interscope).

Everybody Uh Oh is Kavin Chan, Arwin Neil DeGuia, Jeremy Keller, Chris Pogorzelski and post-recording live drums by Phil Calato and Drew Tarico.
